MEDALISTS MEET Several Caldecott and Newbery Award-winners, honored for their children’s books,convene to discuss, read from, and sign their books. Participants include author Norton Juster and illustrator Chris Raschka,whose book “The Hello Goodbye Window” won a Caldecott Medal this year. Others present are illustrators Bryan Collier and Hudson Talbot, and author Susan Campbell Bartoletti. FANCY THAT Author Jane O’Connor conducts an afternoon lesson in fanciness for young people who appreciate glitter, rhinestones, and feather boas. The event includes a tea party, and lessons in fancy walking. Ms. O’Connor is the author of the picture book “Fancy Nancy” (HarperCollins), the story of a glamorous young girl who tries to spiff up her family.
