HERE COMES THE SUN The Brooklyn Children’s Museum presents “Sun Tales From Japan,” a reading of the legendary story of Amaterasu, a Shinto deity and sun goddess honored at Japanese New Year’s celebrations. Children ages 6 and up also can pen their own sun-themed haikus at the event. Saturday, 3:30 p.m., Brooklyn Children’s Museum 145 Brooklyn Ave. at St. Mark’s Avenue, 718-735-4400, $5 general, free for members and children under 1.
