MERRY PRANKSTER

The Brooklyn Underground Film Festival opens with a screening of “Abel Raises Cain,” Jenny Abel’s account of her father’s lifetime of public pranks. Alan Abel wrapped himself in bandages and claimed to be Howard Hughes, mounted a seemingly serious campaign to clothe all animals for the sake of decency, and founded an organization to ban breast-feeding. Tonight, 8:30 p.m. Festival: Through Sunday, times vary, Brooklyn Lyceum, 227 Fourth Ave. at Union Street, Park Slope, Brooklyn, www.brooklynunderground.org, $8.
