In the 1942 French film “La nuit fantastique,” a young man encounters a woman he has seen in his dreams. It is screened as part of the French Institute/Alliance Francaise’s series of films about or made during the occupation of France. The series was originally presented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in France. OPEN HEARTS
BAMcinematek screens the best films of 2004 as chosen by the Village Voice. Up tomorrow is first-time director Shane Carruth’s “Primer,” a low-budget science-fiction film.
