SHOOT OUT Sergio Leone’s epic “Once Upon a Time in the West” (1968) returns to the big screen with a newly restored and uncut print. Not for the faint of heart, the film leads off with a 10-minute massacre. The cast includes Henry Fonda, Charles Bronson, Jason Robards Jr., and Claudia Cardinale, whose movements are dramatically synched with Ennio Morricone’s film score. Today through Thursday, 2, 5:30, and 8:30 p.m., Film Forum, 209 W. GARBO THE GREAT In celebration of the 100th anniversary of Greta Garbo’s birth, Scandinavia House presents the film series Forever Garbo. Up next: Garbo stars as a destructive temptress in the steamy silent film “Flesh and the Devil” (1927).
