It won awards for best actor (Gregory Peck), best art direction, and best adapted screenplay (Horton Foote and Harper Lee). ALL EARS The classic Disney film “Dumbo” is screened as part of the Just Kidding! series of screenings for families. The animated feature is about a baby elephant whose ears are so big he can fly. MONGOLIAN BLUES The New York Film Critics Circle Series, in which members of the critics group introduce their favorite films, concludes this weekend. Lisa Schwarzbaum of Entertainment Weekly introduces a screening of “Genghis Blues” (1999), a documentary about a blind, ailing blues musician in San Francisco who teaches himself the art of “throat singing,” most widely practiced in the tiny Mongolian republic of Tuva.
