ANARCHY IN BARCELONA As part of its “Spanish Cinema Now!” series, the Film Society of Lincoln Center presents a screening of Manuel Huerga’s “Salvador (Puig Antich)” (2006), about the final 12 hours of the last political prisoner executed by garrote during the Franco era, in what proved to be the regime’s last days. A German actor, Daniel Brühl, is featured in the title role. GIVE PEACE A CHANCE Makor presents a screening of “The U.S. vs. John Lennon” (2006), about the late Beatle’s evolution from a member of the Fab Four to antiwar activist and an exploration of the American government’s surveillance of him. David Leaf and John Scheinfeld are directors of the film.
