Gary Lincoff, the author of “The Audubon Guide to North American Mushrooms” (Knopf), and Amy Farges, author of “The Mushroom Lover’s Cookbook and Primer” (Workman), talk about the history of mushrooms the world over. Samples from Ms. Farges’s cookbook, including black-truffle butter canapes, are available for tasting.The delicious discussion is part of the series “Adventures in the Global Kitchen.” Tonight, 7 p.m., American Museum of Natural History, Linder Theater, Central Park West at 79th Street, 212-769-5200, $15 general, $13.50 seniors, members, and students.
