WARM UP WITH RUM Ian William conducts a rum tasting and discusses his book “Rum: A Social and Sociable History of 1776” (7 p.m.). The event is part of the South Street Seaport’s Free Fridays program, which features extended evening hours. Visitors can also attend a family candle-making workshop with complimentary hot cider (6-9 p.m.) and enjoy carols performed outside by the South Street Seaport Singing Christmas Tree (6 and 7 p.m.).
