CHAMBER CLASSICS The Jerusalem Chamber Music Festival kicks off with a program that features work by Mozart and Schonberg along with the American premiere of Betty Olivero’s “Aria,” a quartet for piano, violin, cello, and clarinet (tonight).The next evening includes the American premiere of York Holler’s “Klangzeichen” (tomorrow). Both performances: 7:30 p.m., Carnegie Hall, Zankel Hall, 881 Seventh Ave. at 57th Street, 212-247-7800, $35-$40.
SHOSTAKOVICH’S STRINGS The Manhattan String Quartet performs Shostakovich’s String Quartet No. 13 in B-flat minor, String Quartet No. 14 in F-sharp major, and String Quartet No. 15 in E-flat minor. The performance is the last in a series of concerts of Shostakovich’s 15 quartets. Tuesday, 7:30 p.m., St. Bartholomew’s Church, Park Avenue at 51st Street, 212-378-0248, $20 general, $15 seniors and students.
