BIG MOUNTAIN Nine large-scale photographs by Clifford Ross are on display in “Mountain Series.” Inspired by the largescale paintings of Frederic Church and other Hudson River School artists, Mr. Ross uses high-resolution digital photography to capture small details – including blades of grass – even in the largest images. The photographs on display feature Mount Sopris in Carbondale, Colo., in a variety of seasons and from several angles.Through Wednesday, December 21, Tuesday-Saturday, 10 a.m.-6 p.m., Sonnabend Gallery, 536 W. 22nd St., between Tenth and Eleventh avenues, 212-627-1018, free.
