JULIAN & JAY Authors Julian Barnes and Jay McInerney read from and discuss their work. Mr. Barnes’s latest novel is “Arthur and George” (Knopf), an imagined account of the intertwined Victorian lives of the lawyer George Edalji and Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Mr. McInerney’s novel “The Good Life” (Knopf), about a group of privileged New Yorkers who reassess their lives after September 11, 2001, will be published this week.
