ASTRONAUT INSIGHT Three astronauts from the space shuttle Discovery mission make their first New York public appearance since landing in California earlier this month. Commander Eileen Collins joins Mission Specialists Charles Camarda and Stephen Robinson to talk about their experiences in space.They’ll also answer questions from children in the audience (today, 10 a.m. doors open, 10:30 a.m. event, Cullman Hall of the Universe, free with museum admission). There’s more space in the afternoon: The Hayden Planetarium presents “Celestial Highlights: The Summer Triangle,” a presentation about the current positions of the moon, planets, and stars, as well as visual spectacles such as meteor showers and eclipses (tonight, 6:30-7:30 p.m., Hayden Planetarium Space Theater).
