GAME NIGHT The Lower Manhattan Cultural Council presents “Games People Play,” an evening of art and recreation to benefit the organization’s ongoing support of downtown artists and art groups. Guests are invited to a menu by Danny Meyer, and a choice of games, which includes Pictionary and mini-golf. ART PRESCRIPTION The fifth annual RxArt Ball is a gala to benefit the nonprofit organization, which is dedicated to healing patients undergoing treatment, in part, by exposure to contemporary art. A silent auction features original works by artists Jim Hodges and Tom Friedman. BENEFICIAL LAUGHS “Comedy Cares for the Homeless,” a benefit performance in conjunction with the New York Comedy Festival, features comedians Louis CK, Caroline Rhea, Patrice O’Neal, and others. The gala benefits the nonprofit organization Care for the Homeless, whose volunteers provide medical, dental, and mental care for the city’s homeless population. Tonight, 8 p.m., Town Hall, 123 W. 43rd St., between Broadway and Sixth Avenue, 212-840-2824, $45–$75.
