SAFE SUBWAYS The Donald and Paula Smith Family Foundation presents a debate, “Subway Security: Are Random Searches, Surveillance Cameras, and Underground Cell Phones What New York Needs?” Panelists include the executive director of the New York Civil Liberties Union, Donna Lieberman; the terrorism columnist for New York magazine, Guy Martin, and immigration attorney Sohail Mohammed.The forum will be broadcast on WNYC’s “The Brian Lehrer Show.” Today, 6 p.m. doors open, 6:30-8:30 p.m. talk, CUNY Graduate Center, 365 Fifth Ave. at 34th Street, 646-452-9995, free.
