BUBBLE ETHICS Writer James Jones discusses the medical and ethical issues raised by the case of David Vetter, “the boy in the bubble.” Vetter was born in 1971 with a genetic immune disorder, and spent all but a few weeks of his 12 years in a specially designed isolater. Mr. Jones discusses the decision to place the boy in the “bubble,” and other options that may have been available. He is currently working on a book about the issue. Tomorrow, 5:30 p.m. reception, 6 p.m. lecture, New York Academy of Medicine, 1216 Fifth Ave. at 103rd Street, free.
