PARADE PLAN New balloons at this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade include helium-filled versions of Dora the Explorer and Scooby-Doo. Artist Tom Otterness has also created a 33-foot-tall Humpty Dumpty, frowning mid-“great fall.” The parade route begins at 77th Street and Central Park West, proceeds to Columbus Circle, and turns onto Broadway. It turns west on 34th Street (just past Macy’s Herald Square) and finishes at Seventh Avenue. Good viewing locations include Central Park West along the west side of the street between Columbus Avenue and 70th Street, and the south side of 34th Street between Broadway and Seventh Avenue. Early arrival is strongly recommended – some viewers stake out spots as early as 6:30 a.m. Tomorrow, 9 a.m.–noon, 212-494-4495, free.
