HARLEM HOP Joyce Gold conducts a walking tour of Harlem focusing on the neighborhood’s history as a hub of black culture. Saturday, 1 p.m., meet at City College, 138th Street at Amsterdam Avenue, 212-242-5762, $12.


REVOLUTIONARY JAUNT The Central Park Conservancy presents a historical tour of the Harlem Meer,”A Road Once Traveled.” Because armies could see attackers sailing down the East River, the area was a key strategic point in the American Revolution and the War of 1812. Saturday, 11 a.m., Central Park, meet at the Charles A. Dana Discovery Center at 110th Street between Fifth and Lenox avenues, 212-360-2726, free.


WEEKSVILLE WALK The Brooklyn Center for the Urban Environment presents a walking tour of Weeksville. The area was a community for free blacks in the 1830s. The tour focuses on what was unearthed when the area was cleared for a housing project in the late 1960s. The highlight is a visit inside the original Hunterfly Road houses that have been restored to re-create three diffrent time periods from the 19th century to the present. Saturday, noon-2:30 p.m., meet in front of Boys and Girls High School, Fulton Street and Stuyvesant Avenue, Brooklyn, 718-788-8500 ext. 208, $11 general, $9 members, $8 seniors and students.
