ISLAMABAD, Pakistan (AP) – Militants opened fire Monday on a convoy near the Afghan frontier, wounding at least three American soldiers and three Pakistani soldiers after a meeting of military officials to discuss a recent skirmish between Pakistani and Afghan forces, the Pakistan army spokesman said.

Major General Waheed Arshad said that unidentified “miscreants” fired at the convoy carrying military officials who attended the meeting in Teri Mangal, in the Kurram tribal agency. Afghan military officials also attended the talks to discuss fighting that Kabul says has killed at least 13 people inside Afghanistan.
