President Bush announced yesterday that Mayor Bloomberg would be a member of a presidential delegation to attend the U.S.-Northern Ireland Investment Conference in Belfast, Northern Ireland. Other members of the delegation include a United States Ambassador to Britain, Robert Tuttle, a United States Ambassador to Ireland, Thomas Foley, the president and chief executive officer of 3PAR Inc., David Scott, and a senior vice president and chief information officer of Allstate Insurance Company, Catherine Brune.

Mr. Bloomberg had already been planning to attend the conference with the Speaker of the City Council, Christine Quinn, and was scheduled to speak at it. It will be his first trip to Northern Ireland as mayor.
