A Queens woman who allegedly struck three people, including a 3-year-old girl, while driving drunk and then fled the scene with the girl’s stroller lodged under her vehicle was charged yesterday with several criminal counts, the Queens District Attorney’s Office said.
Susan Karnabe, 54, who allegedly admitted to drinking a bottle of vodka before the accident, struck 3-year-old Mia Tetelman, as well as her mother and grandmother, on August 4, the office said. The young girl suffered multiple rib fractures and pulmonary contusions, the office said.
If convicted, Ms. Karnabe faces up to seven years in prison, the office said.
