An off-duty police officer shot a man that police officials said was trying to steal a motorcycle in the Bronx yesterday. Police officials said the officer had noticed two men attempting to make off with the bike near Co-op City, and fired after one of them aimed a gun at her. She hit one of the suspects in the leg, but both suspects ran away, police said. One of the suspects, a 29-year-old man, was later found at Lincoln Hospital in the Bronx being treated for a gunshot wound to the left ankle, police said. He was arrested, and charges were pending as of yesterday evening. The other suspect is still at large and being sought by police.
