Investigators are searching for a suspect who struck a police officer with his car in Brooklyn after a routine traffic stop, police officials said.

The suspect hit the officer’s leg causing minor injuries, and then fled the scene at the corner of Harrison Place and Morgan Street in the Kensington section of Brooklyn at about 8 p.m., police said.

Police captured a man who was in the passenger seat of the car, but the driver was able to escape police on foot, police said.
