Police have compiled a physical picture of a man suspected in the midday shooting of a Queens orthodontist in front of his young daughter last week, but say they have yet to determine what motivated the brazen killing.

The suspect shot Daniel Malakov as he was bringing his daughter to meet his former wife. Malakov had won a heated custody battle over the girl the week before.

Police said yesterday that the wife, Mazoltuv Borukhova, had begun to perform CPR on her dying ex-husband only after police arrived. They said there are no lead suspects, and are offering an award of $21,000 for any tips leading to an arrest.
