Part of a wall at an Upper West Side construction site collapsed last night prompting the evacuation of 144 apartment units in an adjacent building.
The building, located near Columbus and 97th Street, was evacuated to check for structural damage, said a Red Cross official, Rebecca Callahan. No injuries were immediately reported.
