Police arrested a 28-year-old high school teacher today for attempting to contact a 14-year-old student whom he is charged with raping.

The teacher was barred from contacting the student but visited her repeatedly this summer at her Brooklyn home and then at LaGuardia Airport in Queens, where she was preparing to leave on a family trip, investigators at the office of the Special Commissioner of Investigation said today.

The teacher, formerly of a Queens high school, had been reassigned to administrative tasks over the summer by the Department of Education.
