A woman who allegedly shot and killed her husband, a retired police officer, inside their home in Queens was arraigned yesterday on murder charges.

Barbara Sheehan, 46, is being charged with second-degree murder after she allegedly confessed to shooting her husband, Raymond Sheehan, a retired sergeant, while he was shaving in the bathroom of their home in the Howard Beach section of Queens on Monday, officials said.

Ms. Sheehan, who family members said was abused by her husband, faces 25-years to life in prison if convicted of the charge, officials said.

The Sheehan’s have two children, neither of whom were home at the time of the shooting.
