‘What Climate Change?’
High school and college science on the dangers of global cooling, taught me that any weather model based on only a century of data is just barely on this side of laughable [Oped, “What Climate Change?” February 5, 2007].
Fifth-grade social studies taught me that Erik the Red called Greenland ‘green’ because he was a savvy marketer trying to sell what most Vikings thought of as a god forsaken hunk of ice whose previous settlement attempts devolved into cannibalism.
