SOHO

Asking price: $695,000
Selling Price: $716,000
Time on the market: six weeks
NEEDLE IN THE HAY There are very few one-bedroom condos with a daytime doorman in SoHo, so when this 650-square-foot unit came on the market, a feeding frenzy ensued. The mini-loft, which has a wood-burning fireplace, an exposed steel column, and hardwood floors, faces a courtyard with north and west exposures. The courtyard is pindrop quiet and keeps the weekend clamor at bay.
The buyer of the apartment, which has stainless steel appliances and stone countertops in the kitchen, was a young man in the banking industry who travels extensively. He was rep resented by Douglas Elliman broker Tim Melzer. The seller, also a single man, is looking for a smaller pied-a-terre, said the buyer’s broker, Leonard Steinberg, also of Douglas Elliman.
CARROLL GARDENS 415 Sackett Street Four-story home Asking price: $1.35 million Selling Price: $1.31 million Time on the market: two weeks
PRIESTLY PARADISE This home, which has an upper triplex unit and a garden-level rental apartment, was part of the rectory for a neighboring church. The building and the one adjacent to it housed the priest and church offices, and were bought by a developer who renovated the homes and sold them as an investment.
The triplex has four bedrooms, 2.5 baths, a laundry room, granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances, and a deck with stairs leading to a yard. The garden rental is renovated with a master bedroom and 1.5 baths.
The home has southern exposures with a view of the church from the garden. A family, which had relocated from another part of Brooklyn where they had been renting, purchased the place. Rachel Weiss of Halstead had the exclusive.
GREENWICH VILLAGE
101 West 12th Street
Two-bedroom, two-bath co-operative

Selling Price: $925,000

DESIGNER DIGS The couple who bought this 1,100-squarefoot corner apartment have big dreams of redesigning it. The wife is a prop and photo set designer who plans to renovate the corner unit, which boasts eastern and northern exposures overlooking Sixth Avenue. The building is full-service, with a garden, roof deck, and central laundry room.
“There were several bids after the first open house, and she really wanted it,” said the buyers’ broker, Harry D’Orio of Douglas Elliman. “It was ground zero for the area she wanted to live. They had already been outbid on other listings, so we went for it.”
The deal went to the best and final offer, and Mr. D’Orio’s clients won. The sellers are a family that is expecting another child. They moved into a three-bedroom in the neighborhood, said the listing agent, Jacqueline Fopiano of the Corcoran Group.
