The postwar shoebox features tin ceilings, exposed brick, an open kitchen, and original plank floors with two decorative fireplace mantels.

Hunie Kwon of JC DeNiro & Associates rep resented the young buyer, who fell head over heels for the location and the apartment’s character. The apartment is one of eight that the seller, who is a musician for “Brooklyn: The Musical,” owns on Sullivan Street. It is also conveniently located several blocks from the buyer’s machinery company.

The sellers are a retired lawyer and his financier wife who are leaving New York for the sunny shores of South America. The buyers were represented by Margaret Velard, also of the Corcoran Group.

PARK VIEW The wraparound windows, lighting, and views of the park cinched the deal for this 900-square-foot apartment in The Louisiana. The unit includes a renovated kitchen, a marble bath, a full-time doorman, and a rooftop deck. The sellers are a young married couple who upgraded to a larger apartment in Chelsea. The buyer, an investor who lives abroad, was attracted to the building’s location.

“It’s a nice apartment wrapped in windows,” said the buyer’s broker, Marjorie Gelfand of Douglas Elliman. The listing broker was Stefani Pace of Dwelling Quest. The apartment is currently for rent.
