First lady Laura Bush has announced her wardrobe for her husband’s second inaugural celebration, taking place on January 19 and 20. Oscar de la Renta will make her gown for the official inaugural balls and her suit for the Oath of Office Ceremony. She will also wear gowns and suits by Carolina Herrera and Peggy Jennings during the two-day sequence of events. For the 2001 inauguration, Mrs. Bush wore a dress by Dallas-based designer Michael Faircloth.

Jenna and Barbara Bush have also settled on their looks. Both will don Badgley Mischka gowns to the balls; Jenna’s will be emerald silk crepe with metallic leather banding and Barbara’s will be pale aquamarine silk chiffon with jeweled straps. Their daywear and other gowns will be made by Lela Rose, Derek Lam, and Oscar de la Renta.
