MANY MOONS The exhibit “Luna Piena,” features Judi Harvest’s moon-themed works made from architectural blueprints, resin, Venetian glass, oil paint, and other materials. Through Saturday, tomorrow-Saturday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and by appointment, Paul Sharpe Contemporary Art, 525 W. 29th St., between Tenth and Eleventh avenues, second floor, 646-613-1252, free.


SMART ART San Francisco-based artist and filmmaker Lynn Hershman Leeson presents her new artificial-intelligence project, DiNA, at a new retrospective exhibit of her work.The robot’s face was modeled on that of actress Tilda Swinton. DiNA is currently at “her” most advanced state, endowed with speechrecognition software and displayed on an LCD flat screen; her “brain” can reference anything on the Internet in conversation with visitors. The exhibit also includes Ms. Leeson’s work over the past three decades, including photographs, collages, and film stills. MAJOR MARKS The exhibit “Marks of Distinction” celebrates the 20th anniversary of Dartmouth University’s Hood Museum of Art. The show includes work from 200 years of American drawings and watercolors. Artists whose work is on view include Mary Cassatt, John James Audubon, Winslow Homer, Benjamin West, James McNeill Whistler, Jackson Pollock, Agnes Martin, Eva Hesse, John Singer Sargent, Jacob Lawrence, Romare Bearden, and Lee Bontecou. Through Saturday, December 31, Wednesday and Thursday, noon-5 p.m., Friday-Sunday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m., National Academy Museum, 1083 Fifth Ave. at 89th Street, 212-369-4880, $10 general, $5 seniors and students.
