BEAT DOWN
For her new performance piece “Beat It,” artist Erin McMonagle conducts drop-in workshops on the choreography from the 1983 Michael Jackson video of the same name. After a week of workshops, a final event invites anyone who wants to show off their new skills to participate in a large group performance. MAMBO MADNESS
The Young Patrons Society at Lincoln Center offers an evening of cocktails and cha-cha dancing as part of its Midsummer Night Swing Festival. Mambo Fling will feature the music of the Harbor Latin Big Band, as well as dance lessons and an open bar.
