VIVALDI PRIMER “The Orphan Singer,” based on the book by Emily Arnold Mc-Cully, introduces a young audience to the work of Antonio Vivaldi. The performance features an all-female chamber ensemble with music adapted by Rick Erickson.The show is presented by the American Opera Projects and Making Books Sing, a children’s theater and arts education organization. Tonight, 6 p.m., Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 3 W. 65th St. at Central Park West. Also: Friday, 11:30 a.m. and 7:30 p.m., Lafayette Avenue Presbyterian Church, 85 South Oxford St., between Fulton Street and Lafayette Avenue, Brooklyn, 212-573-8791, $7-22.
