KILL THEM WITH KINDNESS An award-winning children’s book author, Mo Willems, reads from “Edwina, the Dinosaur Who Didn’t Know She Was Extinct” (Hyperion), about a dinosaur who wins the friendship of a classmate after she taunts him by baking him cookies. HERE COMES THE SUN The Brooklyn Children’s Museum presents “Sun Tales From Japan,” a reading of the legendary story of Amaterasu, a Shinto deity and sun goddess honored at Japanese New Year’s celebrations. Children ages 6 and up also can pen their own sun-themed haikus at the event.
