JEWISH NEW AMSTERDAM The exhibit “Tolerance and Identity: Jews in Early New York, 1654-1825” spans from the arrival by boat of 23 Jewish refugees in New Amsterdam to the formation of the city’s second synagogue, B’nai Jeshurun. Highlights include one of the earliest Jewish prayer books published in English and an 18th-century ketubah (marriage contract). Through Sunday, October 2, Tuesday-Sunday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., Museum of the City of New York, 1220 Fifth Ave., between 103rd and 104th streets, 212-534-1672, $7 general, $5 seniors, students, and children, $15 adults with children.
