TRIO BRIO The weekly music series “Midtown Concerts” presents a short afternoon concert of Italian Baroque trios by Ferrara Consort. The ensemble performs works for three sopranos by Giacomo Carissimi (1605-74), Luigi Rossi (1597-1653), and Luzzasco Luzzaschi (c. 1545-1607). QUARTET AND TRIO The New York Philomusica Chamber Ensemble concludes its season with a performance of Messiaen’s “Quatuor pour la Fin du Temps” (“Quartet for the End of Time”) and Beethoven’s Piano Trio No. 6 in B flat, Op. 97 “Archduke.” The guest soloist is clarinetist Paquito D’Rivera. BROOKLYN CHAMBER The Brooklyn Chamber Music Society performs a program that includes Haydn’s Piano Trio in E Minor, songs from Berlioz’s “Les Nuits d’Ete,” and George Crumb’s Sonata for Solo Cello.
