NEW WORKS FOR PIANO Young Israeli pianist Eliran Avni performs several works by Israeli composer Avner Dorman.The program includes three premieres along with Mr. Dorman’s Sonata No. 1 for Violin and Piano. CROONING CAMPBELL Southern singersongwriter Kate Campbell performs in a concert co-sponsored by WFUV. Jake Armerding, an acoustic bluegrass singersongwriter from Massachusetts, is the opening act. JONES FOR JAZZ Jazz at Lincoln Center’s first season in its new Columbus Circle location draws to a close with a concert series celebrating trumpeter and cor netist Thad Jones. The Lincoln Center Jazz Orchestra with Wynton Marsalis performs interpretations of Jones’s work, including new arrangements by trombonist Vincent Gardner. Guest performers include tenor saxophonist Billy Harper, also saxophonist Jerry Dodgion, and pianist Marc Cary. MERRY MELODIES A concert of trios, duets, and solos for winds by Georg Philip Telemann, Joseph Bodin de Boismortier, and Johann Mattheson takes place in Manhattan’s oldest house. Gregory Bynum plays recorder, Andrew Bolotowsky flute, and Arnold Greenwich oboe.
