LIGHT UP THE NIGHT The Luminescent Orchestrii performs its blend of Romanian Gypsy tunes, tango, klezmer, hip-hop beats, and Appalachian fiddling.The band features three violins, resophonic guitar, bullhorn harmonica, and mariachi bass. For those who still can’t quite imagine such a sound, the group describes its output as “music to make you dance, kiss, and scream.” The performance is part of the Vessels of Song festival, exploring how klezmer and Gypsy traditions are expressed in the New York City music scene. SEE CLEARLY NOW The Blind Boys of Alabama, who have been making gospel music since 1939, perform with Citizen Cope and the Royal Wylds. Sunday, 3 p.m., Central Park SummerStage, Rumsey Playfield, enter at East 72nd Street and Fifth Avenue, 212-924-3916, free.
