MEETING OF THE MARCHES The Extra Action Marching Band, a Bay Area troupe that brags it has never marched in a straight line, joins New York City’s Hungry March Band for a long weekend of “band-geek convergence.” Tonight, 10 p.m., Galapagos Art Space, 70 N. 6th St., between Kent and Wythe avenues, Williamsburg, Brooklyn, $7. CELEBRATING WOLFGANG Lincoln Center presents its 39th annual Mostly Mozart Festival, which focuses this year on the artist’s travels and influence in Paris, Prague, London, Italy, and Russia. Music director Louis Langree opens the festival with works that include Mozart’s Symphony No. 35, Handel and Mozart arias performed by soprano Renee Fleming, and the Andante from Mozart’s Piano Concerto No. 23 performed by pianist Stephen Hough (tonight, 8 p.m.). The four week festival offers 43 events performed by more than 55 artists and ensembles. Upcoming highlights include the Mark Morris Dance Group (Thursday, August 18-Saturday, August 20), “A Little Night Music” late-night concert series, and the American debut of the Russian Patriarchate Choir (Thursday, August 25-Saturday, August 27).
