POETIC MADNESS The Rubin Museum of Art presents the third John Giorno Poetry Festival. Mr. Giorno joins other poets and performers – including Jim Carroll, Deborah Harry, and Chris Stein – in reflecting on the museum’s current exhibit, “Holy Madness: Portraits of Tantric Siddhas.” Friday, 7 p.m., Rubin Museum of Art, 150 W. 17th St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues, 212-620-5000 ext. 344, $12.
TRIBUTE TO HUGHES In celebration of Black History Month, the Bowery Poetry Club presents “Langston Hughes in Harlem: A Song Cycle” by Tom Marion and Harry Mann.Five actors and two musicians perform more than 50 of Hughes’s poems.
