LISTENING TO LITERATURE
The artistic director of Symphony Space, Isaiah Sheffer, gives a lecture about “Listening to James Joyce.” Mr. Sheffer hosts an annual reading of Joyce’s “Ulysses” on Bloomsday, June 16. MESSRS. TAXMEN
The editor of Slate, Jacob Weisberg, moderates a debate titled “Tax Reform: Is There a Better Way?” Topics include whether tax simplification is realistic and sustainable, and if so, what type of reform is the most efficient and fair. The debaters are journalist David Cay Johnston and the president of the Free Enterprise Fund, Steve Moore. The discussion is presented by the Donald & Paula Smith Family Foundation.
