HER TOWN Cynthia Carr reads from and signs her book “Our Town: A Heartland Lynching, a Haunted Town, and the Hidden History of White America” (Crown), which explores the psychology of lynch mobs through the lens of an incident in the Indiana town her father and grandfather were raised in. The director of the writing program at the New School, Robert Polito, moderates the discussion.
