TWO JULIES August Strindberg’s 1888 drama “Miss Julie,” about an artistocratic woman who has an affair with her father’s butler, is enjoying a bout of popularity. Previews of Craig Lucas’s adaptation, based on a translation by director Anders Cato,begin tonight. Mr. Lucas is nominated for a Tony for Best Book of a Musical for “The Light in the Piazza,” now playing at the Lincoln Center Theater. The play’s setting has also moved, to a remote island in the Stockholm archipelago from a Swedish kitchen. Mr. Poole directs the Theatre-Arts Connection production. FITZGERALD IN LOVE Peter Mills’s new musical “The Pursuit of Persephone” inserts F. Scott Fitzgerald into the plot of his first novel, “This Side of Paradise.” Cara Reichel, who co-wrote the show, directs the Prospect Theater Company production.
