Barrasso Sworn In As Wyoming Senator

WASHINGTON — Dr. John Barrasso began his rounds on Capitol Hill yesterday, learning how to be a senator.
Mr. Barrasso, a conservative Republican surgeon who was until now a Wyoming state senator, was sworn in by Vice President Cheney yesterday afternoon.
Governor Freudenthal selected him to fill the seat of Senator Thomas, who died on June 4 while being treated for leukemia.
