Police were called to a basement in TriBeCa yesterday after laborers discovered a plastic bag of what appeared to be human bones, police officials said.

The remains, which included a skull and other bones, were found underneath the Tokyo Bar at 277 Church St. while laborers were fixing sewage pipes in the building’s basement, police said. Police were notified of the discovery at about 2:20 p.m.

The city’s medical examiner will determine if the bones belonged to a human, police said.
