ALBANY – Governor Paterson is resting comfortably at home after his second eye operation this week.

Mr. Paterson’s office says the 10:15 a.m. procedure to help avoid acute glaucoma from spreading to his right eye went as planned.

On Tuesday, Mr. Paterson had laser work done on his left eye to relieve intense pain from the onset of acute glaucoma. Today’s procedure was to stave off the spread of the condition to the other eye.

A Paterson spokesman says the Democrat has left Mount Sinai Medical Center in Manhattan and will spend the week at home with his family.
