Police are searching for a suspect in a series of sexual assaults in downtown Manhattan, police officials said.

The suspect, who is between the ages of 18 and 24, has assaulted three separate women in Greenwich Village and the East Village, police said.

In each case, the suspect followed the victim into her apartment late at night and then attempted to rape her, police said. The first assault occurred in Greenwich Village on June 12, followed by attacks on July 7 and July 13 in the East Village.
