‘Taiwan Appeals to Communists In Its Bid for a Seat at the U.N.’
President Chen is correct that Taiwan is an “independent sovereign nation,” which is true regardless if the members of the United Nations recognize it [Foreign, “Taiwan Appeals to Communists in Its Bid for Seat at the U.N.,” August 2, 2007].
Rather than continuing her quest to join the Communists, Stalinists, dictators, and members that acquiesce in their thuggery, Taiwan should celebrate the fact that she has achieved more liberty and prosperity on her own than all of the U.N. pet project states have put together.
The more the U.N. isolates and ridicules a country, the better off that country becomes. Just look at Israel, and America for that matter. America shouldn’t support Taiwan’s membership. We should join with our friends and walk out the door.
