Just in time for holiday shopping, Chopard is reopening its doors on Madison Avenue. Known for watches and fine jewelry, the Swiss brand also creates leather goods, silk scarves, fragrances, and writing instruments. Architect Thierry W. Despont designed the new flagship store, a sprawling space that replaces Chopard’s previous Manhattan boutique. The expansion keeps the brand firmly in luxury-goods territory, with neighbors such as Hermès, J. Mendel, and Graff nearby. (790 Madison Ave. at 63rd Street, 212-821-0300).
